WASHINGTON, June 25. /TASS/. Bosnia and Herzegovina has made it to FIFA World Cup knockout stage after Brazil defeated Scotland 3-0 in their round 3 match.

Bosnia and Herzegovina took the third place in Group B with four points. Scotland is third in Group C with three points.

The top two teams from each group and the eight best third-place finishers advance to the playoffs. Following Scotland’s defeat, the teams that finish in third place in at least four groups will not be able to overtake Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has advanced to the World Cup playoffs for the first time. In its first World Cup appearance in 2014, the team recorded one win and two losses and failed to advance past the group stage.
