Russian, Belarusian athletes’ Olympic medals not to be displayed on NOC medal table — IOC

The IOC allowed Russian and Belarusian athletes to take part in the Paris Games as neutrals in December 2023

PARIS, March 19. /TASS/. Medals that wound be won by Russian and Belarusian athletes at the 2024 Olympic Games will not be taken into account in the national medal standings, IOC (International Olympic Committee) Director of National Olympic Committees (NOC) Relations and Olympic Solidarity James Macleod said.

"The IOC EB (Executive Board) also agreed that the medals won by the AIN (Individual Neutral Athletes) would not be displayed on any NOC medal table," he said.

The IOC allowed Russian and Belarusian athletes to take part in the Paris Games as neutrals in December 2023. However, they are banned from taking part in the teams parade at the opening ceremony.

As of now, twelve Russian and seven Belarusian athletes have qualified for the Paris Olympics, which will be held from July 26 through August 11, 2024.
