MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. Russian Daniil Medvedev fell from third to fourth place in the newest installment of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings, as published on the organization's official website.
Italian Jannik Sinner, to whom Medvedev lost in the final of the Australian Open, moved up to third place. On February 18, Sinner defeated Australian Alex de Minaur in the final of the ATP tournament in Rotterdam.
The Italian has the highest ranking of his career, while de Minaur moved into the top ten, from 11th to 9th. Medvedev skipped the tournament in Rotterdam, where he was the reigning champion. For the first time since February 2019, Greek player Stefanos Tsitsipas has fallen out of the top ten - he moved from 10th to 11th place. American Taylor Fritz also fell one spot, and is now 10th. Serbia's Novak Djokovic is still the number one player in the world.
Andrey Rublev, who reached the quarterfinals at the tournament in Rotterdam, stayed in 5th place. Karen Khachanov remained 17th. Roman Safiullin moved up from 39th to 38th and Pavel Kotov from 65th to 64th. Aslan Karatsev, who is currently recovering from surgery, fell two spots to 39th.
