Nurmagomedov defeated Brazilian Patricka Freire by unanimous decision
MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Russian martial artist Usman Nurmagomedov defeated Brazil’s Patricky Freire in a fight for the title of Bellator lightweight champion.
Nurmagomedov earned a victory by a unanimous decision in a fight that was part of the Bellator 288 tournament in Chicago on Friday night.
Nurmagomedov, 24 years old, has now scored 16 wins in martial arts fights and suffered no defeats. He’s a cousin of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Freire, 36, had held the champion’s title since November 2021 and was defending it for the first time.
