Russian boxer Lebedev may face Panama’s Jones in rematch bout on June 24
The Russian boxer last fought on December 21, 2019 losing to South Africa’s Thabiso Mchunu
MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Russian boxer Denis Lebedev and Guillermo Jones of Panama may square each other in a return bout on June 24, Russian fighter’s promoter Vladimir Khryunov said on Tuesday.
"Both boxers have agreed to hold the fight," Khryunov said. "We are planning the bout for June 24."
Lebedev, 42, is a former IBF/WBA/WBC cruiserweight champion and has a record of 32 wins (23 by KOs) and three defeats. Several years ago, Lebedev made a surprise announcement on wrapping up his boxing career, but later decided to return to the ring.
The Russian boxer last fought on December 21, 2019 losing to South Africa’s Thabiso Mchunu.
Panama’s Guillermo Jones currently boasts a professional boxing record of 41 wins (30 by KOs), four defeats (one by KO) and two draws.
