TASS, June 13. The Finland’s team downed the team from Denmark 1-0 in the first group stage match of the 2020 UEFA Euro Cup. The match was held in Copenhagen.

Finnish striker Joel Pohjanpalo scored the goal at the 60th minute of the game. Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg missed a penalty at 74th minute.

Denmark's Christian Eriksen was recognized as the best player of the match. He had lost consciousness on the field at the end of the first time and was hospitalized later. The match was suspended and resumed in 1.5 hours. The player’s condition stabilized, the UEFA press service reported.

Danish and Finnish teams are playing in the group with the Russian and Belgian teams. The match between Russia and Finland will be on June 16.
