Russian Football Union, Anti-Doping Agency to sign cooperation deal

The Russian Football Union and the Russian Anti-Doping Agency are set to sign soon a bilateral agreement on anti-doping cooperation

MOSCOW, February 5. /TASS/. The Russian Football Union (RFU) and the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) are set to sign soon a bilateral agreement on cooperation in the sphere of anti-doping regulations, Eduard Bezuglov, the head of the RFU Medical Committee, told TASS on Tuesday.

The executive management of RUSADA and RFU held a bilateral meeting in Moscow earlier in the day.

"The RFU and RUSADA are set to sign soon an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of anti-doping regulations," Bezuglov said. "Lawyers representing both sides are currently working on the agreement and this document will be signed within a couple of weeks."

RUSADA Deputy Director General Margarita Pakhnotskaya told TASS earlier that the agency and the RFU had drafted a plan on the educational work in the sphere of anti-doping activities for 2019-2020.
