Russia's Shevchenko and Eremenko win ice dance title at Junior Grand Prix Final
Ice dancers Sofia Shevchenko and Igor Eremenko earned 170.66 points for rhythm dance and free dance
VANCOUVER, December 8. /TASS/. Russia's Sofia Shevchenko and Igor Eremenko have won in junior ice dance at the 2018-19 Junior Grand Prix Final of Figure Skating in Vancouver. Shevchenko and Eremenko earned 170.66 points for rhythm dance and free dance.
The second place was taken by Russia's Arina Ushakova and Maxim Nekrasov, who earned only 0.01 points less than the winners (170.65). Another Russian pair, Elizaveta Khudaiberdieva and Nikita Nazarov, finished third with 164.54 points.
Last year Russia's ice dancers Anastasia Skoptsova and Kirill Aleshin won the title, and they now moved on to adult figure skating. Shevchenko and Eremenko finished fourth last year, Ushakova and Nekrasov - fifth. Sofia Polischuk and Alexander Vakhnov won the third place.
The 2018-19 Junior Grand Prix Final will finish in Vancouver on December 9.
