ST. PETERSBURG, March 26. /TASS/. About 1,200 Russian National Guard fighters will maintain security during the friendly match between the Russian and French national football teams at the Saint Petersburg Stadium on Tuesday, Colonel-General Pavel Dashkov, Commander of the North-Western District of National Guard troops, told reporters.
"In all, 600 military servicemen and [Russian National Guard] members will maintain security, along with the same number of reserve (600 people - TASS), so believe me that will be enough," Dashkov said answering a question from a TASS correspondent.
He noted that this match was has not been designated as a heightened priority in terms of ensuring security. However, the Russian National Guard is fully ready for any out of the ordinary situations, he added.
The Russia-France match will be held at Saint Petersburg Stadium at 18:50 Moscow Time on Tuesday.
