CSKA basketball club’s chief refutes media reports on Teodosic’s comeback

Spanish media reported earlier Teodosic, who played for NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers in 2017-2019, is coming back to Moscow

MOSCOW, April 26. /TASS, Andrey Kartashov/. Russian basketball club CSKA did not hold talks with Serbia’s 32-year-old point guard Milos Teodosic, who played for the Moscow club in 2011-2017, on his possible comeback with the team, CSKA President Andrei Vatutin told TASS on Friday.

Spanish web portal Encestado reported earlier in the day that CSKA’s French guard Nando de Colo is leaving for Spain’s Real Madrid, while Teodosic, who played for NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers in 2017-2019, is coming back to Moscow.

"Perhaps, it can only be explained by a twist of events and nothing else that it was namely the Spanish media, which reported about CSKA’s contract with Teodosic on the day of our match with [Spanish club] Baskonia," Vatutin said in an interview with TASS.

"I spoke with Milos [Teodosic] a week ago, but our conversation was not about basketball at all as we spoke about our children and families," Vatutin said. "Therefore, Teodosic’s fans and ill-wishers should calm down as nobody signed anything and no agreements were concluded."

CSKA is playing away on Friday night its fourth match of the 2018-2019 EuroLeague’s quarterfinals against Baskonia. The club from Moscow currently leads 2-1 in the five-game quarterfinals series.
