Russia’s Khokholov wins gold at 2019 Abu Dhabi World Youth Jiu-Jitsu Championship

In all, the Russian national youth team of jiu-jitsu fighters won 18 gold, 14 silver and 19 bronze medals

MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. /TASS/. Russia’s young fighter Ian Khokholov won gold in the under-45 kg weight category at the 2019 Abu Dhabi World Youth Jiu-Jitsu Championship.

In the final bout for the gold, the Russian jiu-jitsu fighter defeated 2-1 Bekzhan Zhamanbay of Kazakhstan. The bronze medals went to Hamdan Mohammed S Alshamsi of the United Arab Emirates and Yerassyl Kabyshuly from Kazakhstan.

In the course of the championship, Khokholov booked five victories, including three by technical superiority.

In all, the Russian national youth team of jiu-jitsu fighters won 18 gold, 14 silver and 19 bronze medals in all age and weight categories at the 2019 Abu Dhabi World Youth Jiu-Jitsu Championship, which was held on April 21-22 at Mubadala Arena.
