MOSCOW, July 23. /ITAR-TASS/. Specialists of the Russian Mission Control Centre have made the International Space Station moving to avoid space junk, Russian space agency told ITAR-TASS on Wednesday.
“Service module Zvezda engines were activated for 32 seconds to make the move. As a result the ISS mean orbit was decreased by 800 metres. The manoeuvre was undertaken to make the distance (between the ISS and space junk) safe,” the space authority said.
