KEMEROVO, March 25. /TASS/. Three children and a woman were killed by a fire in the shopping and entertainment center in the city of Kemerovo, Russia’s Siberia region, a representative with the investigative committee’s department for the Kemerovo region told TASS.

"We have information that about 20 people were injured, there are children among them. Three children died at the scene, I cannot tell their age yet, and also a woman," the officials said.

She added that a criminal case was initiated following the accident.

"Currently, the investigation team is looking for tenants, the owner, checking the documents," the official said.

According to the latest data, the fire has been partially brought under control. The total area of the fire is 1,500 square meters.

Earlier a source told TASS that the bodies of four children were found at the place of the fire.

According to the recent data, firemen rescued 20 people and 100 people were evacuated.

The shopping mall Zimnyaya Vishnya (Winter Cherry) is located in Kemerovo on the Lenin avenue - one of the main city roads, not far from the railway station. According to reports in social networks, the fire started on the fourth floor where a cinema and a children's entertainment center are located.
