Crimean spa hotel wins 2017 World Luxury Family Resort award
The hotel with 422 rooms was unveiled on the South Shore of Crimea in 2014
SIMFEROPOL, December 5. /TASS/. Mriya Resort & Spa, a five-star hotel in the Crimean city of Yalta, has won a 2017 World Luxury Hotel Award, the Russian Tourism Agency said on Tuesday.
"The 11th World Luxury Hotel Awards ceremony took place in Switzerland in early December," the agency said in a statement. "Mriya Resort & Spa was named the 2017 World Luxury Family Resort and confirmed its status of the best spa hotel in the category Europe Luxury Spa Resort."
Mriya, a luxury hotel with 422 rooms, was unveiled on the South Shore of Crimea on August 14, 2014.
"We are happy that the Russian hotel has left its rivals behind and was named the best hotel again," Oleg Safonov, the head of the Russian Tourism Agency, was quoted as saying.
In all, 800 hotels were nominated for the 2017 awards in 99 categories. More than 300,000 people took part in the voting.
World Luxury Hotel Awards is a recognized global organization providing luxury hotels with recognition for their world class facilities and service excellence provided to guests.
