A source reports there was a shootout in the Magaramkent district of Dagestan, closer to the border with Azerbaijan
MAKHACHKALA, November 23. /TASS/. Two are said to have been killed and six others injured in a shootout in southern Dagestan, a source in the local law enforcement told TASS.
"There has been a shootout in the Magaramkent district of Dagestan, closer to the border with Azerbaijan. Two are said to have been killed and six others wounded. Details are being cleared up," the source said.
There has been no official comment from Dagestan’s law enforcement yet.
Six people have been detained after a shootout in southern Dagestan on Thursday, in which two people were killed and two injured. All in all, up to 15 people took part in the conflict in the Magaramkent district of Dagestan, closer to the border with Azerbaijan, the source said.
"Up to 15 people participated in the conflict, two were killed, two are in hospital and six were detained," the source said.
Police put out a search for local deputy Rafik Yaraliyev after the shootout. He has been detained and is testifying, law enforcement agencies have told TASS.
