LONDON, March 12. /TASS/. London Coliseum will play host to the Russian Ballet Icons gala dedicated to the famous Diaghilev seasons on March 12.

The program comprises favorites of legendary Sergei Diaghilev’s troupe like The Firebird, The Scheherazade, Le Spectre de la Rose, Petrushka, L’apr·s-midi d’un Faune, La Chatte, and others. They will be complemented by modern works from choreographers David Dawson, Alastair Marriott, Gerald Arpino, and Jean-Christophe Maillot.

There is a link between classical and modern products, Chief Executive of Ensemble Productions [gala organizer - TASS] Olga Balakleets said. "We tried to present modern choreography along with the repertoire of Diaghilev’s times. There will be a premiere for the first time in 12 years - Theatrum Vitae ballet by young and already fairly successful choreographer Xenia Wiest will be presented," Balakleets told TASS.

The program will be accompanied by the orchestra of the English National Ballet Philharmonic.
