Christina Aguilera to visit Moscow for Russian National Music Awards
The first Russian National Music Awards ceremony will be held on November 7 at the Kremlin Palace
MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/. American pop singer Christina Aguilera will visit Moscow to participate in the first Russian National Music Awards ceremony set to be held on November 7 at the Kremlin Palace, the organizers said in a statement on Monday.
"One of the world’s most sought after stars in show business will perform her famous hits and will undoubtedly impress the Russian public not only with her beautiful voice but also with a stunning performance," the statement reads.
The Russian National Music Awards was established by the Academy of Russian Music’s national music support fund at the initiative of the Russian producers’ centers, popular singers and media community. According to the Awards’ president Yuri Kostin, the vast organizers’ list guarantees that the competition would be fair. The jury is comprised of around 170 people including renowned music critics, record producers, representatives of music TV channels and the creative community.
There will be 14 nominations at this year’s Russian National Music Awards. The nomination process was completed on October 24. On November 30, three finalists in each nomination will be announced.
Christina Aguilera, a six-time Grammy winner and one "Latin Grammy" winner, has released seven studio albums so far, with over 50,000,000 copies sold.
