Two people recovered from debris in Ivanovo

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/. Rescuers recovered two more injured from the debris of the dwelling-house after a domestic gas explosion in Ivanovo, a representative of the press service of the Central regional center of Russia’s Emergencies Ministry told TASS on Sunday.
"One more injured was found in the rubble," he said, adding that "emergency physicians are providing him with medical assistance." A few minutes later rescuers reported that a woman had been recovered from the debris. "She’s been hospitalized," the source said.
Thus, a total of eight people were injured in the accident. "Four have been hospitalized after being recovered by rescuers from the debris. Four more were provided with medical assistance at the scene," the Central regional center of the Emergencies Ministry said.
According to the Ministry, five people died under the rubble of the dwelling-house in Ivanovo, one of the victims was a four-year-old child.
The first report on the accident in the two-storey residential building came at 04:15. The explosion destroyed four apartments. The regional bureau of Russia's Investigations Committee has opened an inquiry into the accident. The explosion was caused by a gas leak, a representative of Russia’s Investigative Committee said.
"The preliminary investigation of the case and investigatory actions suggest that a domestic gas leak is the main version now," the source said.
