Employee of the Central Scientific-Research Institute of Engineering Vladimir Lapygin was accused of leaking data of state secrecy to foreign countries
MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. The Moscow City Court sentenced employee of the Central Scientific-Research Institute of Engineering Vladimir Lapygin to seven years' imprisonment for state treason, the court's press service told TASS on Friday.
"The court found Lapygin guilty under Article 275 of the Criminal Code (state treason) and sentenced him to imprisonment for seven years, to be served at a penal colony," the court's representative said.
Lapygin, 75, was arrested at the court. The trial was held behind closed doors as its materials contained classified data.
Lapygin was accused of leaking data of state secrecy to foreign countries.
