NEW YORK, January 14. /TASS/. We Can’t Live without Cosmos, a short animated film by Russian director Konstantin Bronzit, was nominated for the 2016 Academy Awards on Thursday.

The film tells the story of two friends who have dreamed since childhood of becoming cosmonauts and make the sacrifices necessary to achieve their shared goal.

Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's saga The Revenant, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, tops the list with 12 nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor.
