Far East safari park moots animated film about tiger, goat friendship
A three-year-old tiger and a goat supposed to be his lunch have lived alongside for a month
MOSCOW, December 22. /TASS/. The director of the far eastern safari park famous for the unusual friendship of a tiger and a goat has proposed making an animated film about the two animals, Russian daily Izvestia reported on Tuesday.
"The story of the tiger and goat friendship the country has been following for a month could make the plot of an animated film for children," Dmitry Mezentsev was quoted as saying.
"This story is a symbol of the goat’s courage and pure and moving friendship," he said in a letter to the Russian Culture Ministry, adding that Amur the tiger and Timur the goat could teach people how they should treat each other with care.
Mezentsev said the safari park was ready to help the film-making process and start a wide-ranging fundraising campaign.
The ministry said it would consider the letter, while some experts expressed doubt that the goat and the tiger would be alive by the time the film hits the screens.
The three-year-old tiger and the goat supposed to be his lunch have lived alongside for a month. The animals spend hours together, walking about the vast enclosure side by side. The safari park is publishing daily online reports about their friendship for thousands of Amur and Timur fans in Russia and abroad.
