Goat kicks out tiger friend from shelter during snowfall at Far East zoo

The three-year-old tiger and the goat supposed to be his lunch have lived alongside for a month

VLADIVOSTOK, December 16. /TASS/. The goat at the Far East Russia safari park known for his unusual friendship with a tiger has kicked his striped pal out of the shelter during a snowfall, the zoo said on its website on Wednesday.

"We observed a curious thing. Amur the tiger attempted to take shelter from the snow but the stubborn goat Timur came first and the tiger retreated as the goat took his place," the zoo said.

The three-year-old tiger and the goat supposed to be his lunch have lived alongside for a month. The animals spend hours together, walking about the vast enclosure side by side. The safari park is publishing daily online reports about their friendship for thousands of Amur and Timur fans in Russia and abroad.
