MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/.Pamela Anderson, a Hollywood celebrity and member of the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), told TASS she intended to bring her sons for a trip across the whole of Russia to see the beauties of the country.

"I don’t know anything about the middle of Russia. I’ve been to Vladivostok, I’ve been to Moscow, St. Petersburg. But what’s in the middle?" Anderson said in an interview with TASS

She is currently paying her second visit to Russia in less than half a year after she visited the city of Vladivostok, in the Far East of the world’s largest country in September.

"So I think I am going to take my kids on a train maybe and go through the whole of Russia," the famed worldwide protectionist of animals and the mother of two 18-and 17-year-old sons said.

"I don’t know what it is going to take - train, plane, whatever it takes," Anderson, who featured on Playboy magazine’s cover for record 14 times since 1989 and left all other celebrities of the glossy men’s publication far behind, said. "I have seen some photographs, and I have seen some beautiful places."

"The Americans, the North Americans - they have no idea how beautiful [Russia is], just like Moscow [does not]," she said. "So I would like to know it [Russia], I want to see it."

While visiting the Russian capital the 48-year-old Canadian born celebrity met on Monday in Moscow with Sergey Ivanov, the Kremlin chief of staff, and Russian Natural Resources and Environment Minister Sergey Donskoi.

Later that day at a news conference, hosted by TASS news agency and attended by numerous journalists, she hinted on her intentions to be back visiting Russia in April next year.

During the meeting with both of the Russian high-ranking state officials she was granted the title of the guardian of a four-year-old female Amur leopard.

The animal, codenamed as Leo-38F by Russian specialists, was named Pamela after her new foreign guardian.

Leo-38F is living in the country’s national park "Land of the Leopard" near Russia’s border with China.

Specialists, keeping track of the animal, pointed out previously that unlike other animals, this feline often gets into camera traps and, according to captured pictures, she is rather posing for cameras instead of ignoring them.

Later on Monday, Anderson addressed a crowd of media at TASS news center, where among other things she said it did not disappoint her that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not meet with her personally.

In July, the actress sent a letter to President Putin asking him to block the passage of the Winter Bay cargo vessel through the Northern Sea Route. The vessel was reportedly carrying more than 1,700 tons of whale meat from Iceland to Japan. Later Anderson asked for a meeting with Putin to discuss environmental issues with him.

Pamela Anderson claims to have Russian origins on her mother’s side. Her great grandmother was Russian, according to her, and she reportedly emigrated from Russia to the Netherlands and then to Canada.
