Russian Interior Ministry identifies source of information on possible terror attacks

The information was distributed in the Republic of Tatarstan, and by end of the day it reached the capital city, said ministry’s spokesperson

MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. Russia’s Interior Ministry is undertaking all necessary measures to identify the source of information about an alleged terror attack, the ministry’s spokesperson Elena Alexeyeva wrote on her Instagram page on Wednesday.

"The Ministry is aware about mailing of the information. Initially, the information was distributed in the Republic of Tatarstan, and by end of the day it reached the capital city. The Interior Ministry is undertaking all necessary measures to identify the source of texts of the kind," she wrote.

On Tuesday morning social networks had publications claiming the Interior Ministry was aware of a possible terrorist attack on a big trade centre in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. Later on, this information reached Moscow. The source distributing the information asked the readers to be serious about the message.

Tatarstan’s Interior Ministry in its turn has published an official statement, saying this is Information was not true to life.

"The situation in the republic is controlled properly, and the units of the Interior Ministry are working in a regular mode, the statement reads.".
