Natalya Sharina was detained in the evening of October 29 on the suspicion of circulating extremist books
MOSCOW, October 31. /TASS/. The director of Russia’s government-financed Library of Ukrainian Literature, Natalya Sharina, is faced with criminal charges, senior assistant to chief of the Investigative Committee’s department for Moscow, Yulia Ivanova has told TASS.
"After the court put Sharina under house arrest she was charged with the incitement of ethnic hatred and animosity under part two of article 282 of the Criminal Code," Ivanova said.
Sharina was detained in the evening of October 29 on the suspicion of circulating extremist books, some of them authored by Ukrainian nationalist Dmitry Korchinsky.
