Charges on Natalia Vodianova sister’s case dropped after parties reconcile

The incident involving Vodianova’s disabled sister Oksana occurred in Nizhny Novgorod on August 11, when the cafe employee ordered Oksana and her nanny to leave out of fear for the cafe’s reputation

NIZHNY NOVGOROD, September 14 /TASS/. Prosecutors dropped criminal charges initiated against a cafe employee in Nizhny Novgorod for humiliating the human dignity of the sister of famous fashion model Natalia Vodianova after the parties had reached reconciliation on Monday," a court source told TASS.

"A pre-trial hearing of a criminal case initiated against Akhmed Bairamov accused of humiliating the human dignity (of a young woman because of her disability) took place today. The prosecution was dismissed after reconciliation of the parties," the court said.

The incident involving Vodianova’s disabled sister Oksana who has cerebral palsy and autism occurred at the Flamingo cafe in Nizhny Novgorod on August 11. According to investigators, the cafe employee, Akhmed Bairamov, came up to the 27-year-old Oksana and her nanny and ordered them to leave the cafe out of fear for the cafe’s reputation. Bairamov also threatened the women with violence.

The Russian Investigation Committee initiated criminal proceedings on charges of humiliation of human dignity.

Natalia Vodianova is a Russian supermodel and actress. She has appeared on the covers of fashion magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire and ELLE. She used to be the face of L’Oreal Paris cosmetic brand and has taken part in the advertising campaigns of such leading brands as Louis Vuitton, Pepe Jeans, Chanel, Gucci, Guerlain, etc.
