Family with seven children evacuated from Alyoshki during humanitarian mission
Yana Lantratova stressed that the family would be guaranteed "full safety"
ALYOSHKI /Kherson Region/, October 30. /TASS/. A family with seven children was evacuated from the town of Alyoshki in the Kherson Region as part of a humanitarian mission, a TASS correspondent reported.
The parents, Lyudmila and Kirill, left the town together with their children.
"Honestly, I was very worried about the family. I knew about them and their seven children, and it was important for me to make sure the children were safe," Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova said.
She stressed that the family would be guaranteed "full safety."
The Russian Armed Forces introduced a ceasefire in the Kherson direction at 4:00 a.m. Moscow time (1:00 a.m. GMT) on October 27 to prepare for a humanitarian operation in the town of Alyoshki. Earlier, Russia and Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire in Alyoshki, brokered by US First Lady Melania Trump, to facilitate humanitarian aid deliveries and the evacuation of civilians via a special safe corridor. On September 21, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the situation in Alyoshki as critical, saying that food and medicine could not be delivered there amid ongoing Ukrainian shelling and drone attacks. Slightly over 1,000 residents currently remain in Alyoshki, down from a population of 20,000.
