Alyoshki residents went for groceries along 7-km long mined road — local resident
Alexander Zakharov said people had to go to Radensk at their own risk
SIMFEROPOL, October 29. /TASS/. The lack of food forced Alyoshki residents to go for groceries along a 7-km long mined road, resident Alexander Zakharov told TASS.
"About seven kilometers [of the road] are completely mined, and people [got out] at their own risk. Besides, there were drones before September 1, before the beginning of autumn. And later, gradually, because people had nothing to eat, they began to go to Radensk for groceries at their own risk," he said.
From 4:00 a.m. Moscow time (1:00 p.m. GMT) on October 27, Russia imposed a regime of silence in the Kherson direction to prepare for a humanitarian operation in Alyoshki in the Kherson Region. Earlier, Russia and Ukraine with the assistance of US First Lady Melania Trump agreed to a ceasefire in Alyoshki to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid and prepare for the evacuation of civilians through a special safe corridor. Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the humanitarian situation in Alyoshki critical on September 21. It is impossible to bring food or medicines there because of shelling and drone attacks from Kiev. Of the 20,000 residents who previously lived in the town, just over 1,000 people now remain in Alyoshki.
