PARIS, October 28. /TASS/. A Ukrainian citizen has been detained in Monaco over possible involvement in the death of Prince Antoine de Massy's first cousin once removed, Le Figaro quoted the prosecutor's office of the principality as saying in a statement.

The 42-year-old Ukrainian, who has been living in Monaco for 30 years, denied the charges. It is not specified what exactly the man is suspected of.

"The accused under articles 'failure to provide assistance to a person in danger' and 'unintentional murder' in connection with acts that may have been committed at different times did not want to answer the judge's questions," the newspaper quoted the prosecutor's office as saying.

The first cousin once removed of the Prince of Monaco, a 29-year-old de Massy, was found dead in one of the squares of the principality on October 25. AFP quoted autopsy results as saying that the cause of death was allegedly a "fall from a height of 13 meters" in the area of Larvotto Boulevard. According to a Le Figaro source, on Sunday night de Massy was spotted at the exit of a nightclub.
