Court fines Reddit $44,455 for failing to remove banned content

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Moscow’s Tagansky District Court fined the Reddit online platform 3.8 mln rubles ($44,455) for failing to remove information prohibited in Russia, the Moscow City Court’s press service told TASS.
"By a ruling of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow dated October 7, 2026, Reddit, Inc. was found guilty of an administrative offense under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses," the press service said.
Reddit is a website featuring user-generated content, including photographs, videos, links, and text posts, as well as discussions of that content on the platform.
