The environmental watchdog said the coastline and the Black Sea waters are being monitored
MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. Russia’s environmental watchdog, Rosprirodnadzor, is monitoring the Black Sea following a fire aboard a tanker that was attacked by uncrewed boats off the coast. There are currently no signs of pollution, the agency’s press service told TASS.
"The coastline and the Black Sea waters are being monitored. There is currently no evidence of pollution," Rosprirodnadzor said.
Earlier, the Russian Transport Ministry reported that a Liberia-flagged tanker carrying oil had been attacked by uncrewed boats off the Black Sea coast. The ministry also said that oil was burning on the surface of the sea.
"There is no information indicating a spill or a threat to the coastline," Rosprirodnadzor added.
