Cybercrimes in Russia drop by a third in 8M 2026 — PM

Amendments to laws were prepared and approved to fight cybercrimes as instructed by the head of state, the prime minister said

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. The cybercrimes rate in Russia fell by almost a third during eight months of this year as a result of approved legislative amendments, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at the Digital Solutions forum.

Amendments to laws were prepared and approved to fight cybercrimes as instructed by the head of state, the prime minister said.

"As a result, the number of such crimes declined by almost a third during eight months of this year," Mishustin noted.

Provision of services in the digital format in Russia is at the globally highest level, the prime minister added. The ministry of digital development was tasked to enhance the security of accounts on the public services web portal, Mishustin said.
