NEW YORK, September 27. /TASS/. US company OpenAI has suspended the training of its most advanced artificial intelligence (AI) models and will resume it "only when we are confident that we have additional safeguards and alignment improvements in place," a company representative told the Axios news outlet.

According to the outlet's sources, specialists at OpenAI and Anthropic are currently investigating tens of thousands of incidents that occurred in recent months during testing and real-world deployment. It is noted that information regarding many of these incidents has not yet been made public, and "the problem is orders of magnitude more complex than what is publicly known."

Preliminary investigations by staff from both companies and outside experts suggest that the ability of OpenAI and Anthropic to maintain full control over their technologies is being called into question," Axios reports.
