MOSCOW, July 27. /TASS/. Western countries have changed approaches to their information warfare against Russia, betting on influencing the minds of corporate and media employees, TASS Director General Andrey Kondrashov said.

"At this point, everything unfolds according to a different scenario. Instead of cyberattacks, cognitive influence on staffers of media outlets and large state-run corporations is becoming more prevalent, because the ability to influence the thinking of an insider is much more valuable than a simple computer hack," Kondrashov said.

In his words, the same technologies are being used by fraudsters and intelligence communities working against Russia.

The TASS director general said the time had come to become proactive.

"This will be a lot more effective," he emphasized.
