BUENOS AIRES, May 31. /TASS/. Presidential elections will be held in Colombia.

Eleven politicians are running for the top public position in the country. The successful candidate will need to have the absolute majority of votes, 50% plus one vote, to win in the first tour. Otherwise the second tour will be held on June 21.

Incumbent President of Colombia Gustavo Petro cannot run for the second term in the office because the national constitution prohibits reelection of the head of state.
