Previously doxed teenager says Mirotvorets database used to intimidate children, parents
According to Faina Savenkova, the founders of the website and those backing it should be prosecuted under Russian law
LUGANSK, January 30. /TASS/. The posting of children's personal data on the Ukrainian Mirotvorets (Peacemaker) website is an intimidation tactic, previoulsy doxed writer and journalist from Lugansk, teenager Faina Savenkova, told TASS.
"I see nothing surprising in Mirotvorets’ actions. The behavior of the people behind the website is not a coincidence but a pattern. They do this to intimidate children and their parents in order to pressure them later. The data illegally obtained by Mirotvorets is widely used by Western intelligence agencies in their work," she said.
According to Savenkova, the founders of the website and those backing it should be prosecuted under Russian law, and the issue should be consistently raised at the international level.
On Friday morning, it became known that a new 15-year-old teenager had been added to the website's database for participating in and winning the All-Russian essay contest themed "The Combat Path of the Unit in Which My Father Serves."
This is not the first time that children’s personal data has been published on the Mirotvorets website. Earlier, minors aged 2-17 were entered into its database. In 2021, Faina Savenkova, a writer from the Lugansk People’s Republic who was 12 years old at the time, was placed on the registry. The website’s administrators alleged that the girl "participated in anti-Ukrainian propaganda events."
The infamous Mirotvorets website was launched in 2014 to identify those who allegedly threaten Ukraine’s national security and publish their personal details. Over the years, it has compiled the personal information of journalists, artists, and politicians who visited Crimea and Donbass or drew criticism from the site’s administrators for other reasons. Access to the website is blocked in Russia by court order.
