Russian composer Rybnikov settles Apple Music dispute, works return to platform

MOSCOW, January 30. /TASS/. Russian modern music composer Alexey Rybnikov announced that he has come to terms with Apple Music on a deal that will make his music available for download again on the platform.
"The settlement was signed with Apple. The earlier litigation was related to rights to all my music being 'ownerless.' Now the rights are managed by the First Musical Publishing House. It is now putting the use of rights to my music in order," Rybnikov told TASS.
Earlier reports said that the Moscow City Court had filed an injunction on downloading and distribution of compositions via Apple Music under a claim put forward by Rybnikov. In total, 247 songs from various movies were covered by the injunction.
