MOSCOW, December 31. /TASS/. Russians have gone on of the longest New Year holiday periods, lasting from December 31 through January 11.

Monday, January 12 will be the first working day of 2026 in the country. In all, January 2026 will have 15 workdays and 16 days off. It will be the longest New Year holiday period since 2022.

Presidential Academy expert Tatyana Podolskaya earlier told TASS that the lengthy holiday period in January would have no effect on salaries in Russia.
