MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi will meet in Moscow on February 7, the state corporation's press service reported.
The event will take place at the Atom Pavilion at the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy in Moscow. According to the IAEA chief, during the talks he intends to discuss the situation in Ukraine and the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. At a press conference following his visit to Kiev earlier this week, Grossi said that he believed it was necessary to constantly maintain constant channels of communication.
In Kiev, the IAEA chief held talks on nuclear safety. The trip was his 11th visit to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s special military operation in 2022. Grossi toured the Kiev Power Plant, noting that it is an important part of the power grid needed to supply electricity to nuclear power plants.
