MOSCOW, December 28. /TASS/. Scientists at the Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA) have completed studies on a vaccine for colorectal cancer therapy, with plans to introduce it into clinical practice next year, the head of the agency, Veronika Skvortsova, announced.

"We have now fully completed research on colorectal cancer, and we are ready to begin implementing this vaccine in practice as early as 2025," she said on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

She added that research is currently ongoing on drugs targeting glioblastomas and melanomas - malignant brain tumors and skin cancers.

According to her, scientists are also working on developing personalized medicines based on an individual’s biological code. Their task is to decode the genome of a patient and their tumor, identify the mutations that drive its formation and growth, study the immunogenic components - peptides to which the patient’s immune system responds - and create a personalized drug tailored to the patient based on these findings.
