ASTANA, December 26. /TASS/. Those who survived Wednesday’s plane crash in Kazakhstan suffered multiple injuries, the Kazakh Health Ministry said in a statement.

"Patients were admitted to the hospital with various injuries. Most of them suffered multiple injuries, including closed-head injuries, brain concussion, closed chest injuries and traumatic shock," the statement reads.

"As of the early morning of December 26, 11 patients were in intensive care, 13 in the department of traumatology, two in the department of neurosurgery and one in the department of surgery. As for their condition, two are critical, 11 are in serious condition, 14 are fair and two patients are in good condition with no major health issues," the ministry specified.

According to the Kazakh Health Ministry, before a Russian Emergencies Ministry aircraft repatriated nine Russians for further treatment, half of them were believed to be in serious condition.
