Kremlin awaits many guests for 80th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War
Yury Ushakov recalled that the parade on Red Square will be attended by military contingents of some countries
MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Leaders of many countries have been invited to Moscow to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, with a number of full-scale visits expected, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov told reporters.
"We attach great importance to the 80th anniversary of the Victory. We have sent invitations to many countries. We expect that participation in the May 9 celebrations will gather many representatives. Some countries have already announced their readiness to send their top officials to Moscow," he said.
The diplomat recalled that the parade on Red Square will be attended by military contingents of some countries. "We plan to hold a number of full-scale visits of rather important countries to Moscow in connection with the May 9 celebrations," Ushakov added.
