MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. Russia should work on its own innovations that could be applied in the Arctic zone, Nikolay Patrushev, a presidential aide and head of the Maritime Board has said.
"The need for enhancing presence in the Arctic latitudes has resulted in the emergence of Russian scientific solutions and ideas unparalleled in the world. Their further development can serve as a basis for coping with current challenges of scientific and technological development," he said at the Maritime Board’s meeting.
"The interests of the state and the population of the Arctic regions must come first," Patrushev said about Russia's priorities in the Arctic.
