Pollster shows 82% of Russians trust Putin
A total of 51% of those polled said they approved of the Russian government’s handling of the country (a 7% decrease), while 57% approved of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin’s performance (a 4% decrease)
MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. The level of trust in President Vladimir Putin among the Russian public stands at 82%, with the same percentage of respondents approving of his job performance, according to a survey conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM).
The poll, conducted between November 22-24, surveyed 1,500 respondents. "When asked directly if they trusted Putin, 82% of participants responded affirmatively (a 1% increase). The majority also endorsed the president’s job performance (82%, no change)," the service said.
A total of 51% of those polled said they approved of the Russian government’s handling of the country (a 7% decrease), while 57% approved of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin’s performance (a 4% decrease).
Support for the ruling United Russia party stood at 45% (a 1% increase). Support for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) decreased by 1% to 8%, while the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) saw a 2% decline to 8%. The A Just Russia-For Truth party’s support decreased by 1% to 2%, while support for the New People party rose by 1% to 4%.
