MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. Russia's main New Year's fir will be delivered to the Moscow Kremlin at midnight on December 12, the Russian President's Directorate told TASS.
A 90-year-old tree near the village of Znamenka in the Mozhaysky District of the Moscow Region is set to be cut down on December 9. The following two days will be dedicated to its packing and loading onto a special truck.

The selection of Russia's main New Year's tree has been underway since the summer. Experts chose a tree that meets the Kremlin standards. It is 25 meters high, with a trunk diameter of 60 centimeters and a branch span of 8 meters.
