Pollster shows 81% of Russians trust Putin

MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. The level of trust in President Vladimir Putin among the Russian public stands at 81%, while 82% of respondents approved of his job performance, according to a survey conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation.
The poll, conducted between November 15-17, surveyed 1,500 respondents. "When asked directly if they trusted Putin, 81% of participants responded affirmatively (a 2% increase). The majority also approved of the president’s job performance (a 3% increase, bringing approval to 82%)," the statement from the polling service reads.
58% of those polled said they approved of the Russian government’s handling of the country (a 7% increase), while 61% approved of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin’s performance (a 6% increase).
Support for the ruling United Russia party stood at 44% (a 1% increase). Support for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) remained at 9%, while the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) saw a 2% increase to 10%. The A Just Russia-For Truth party maintained its 3% support, while support for the New People party fell by 1% to 3%.
