Moscow court fines Google $76,002 for refusal to delete banned information

MOSCOW, November 18. /TASS/. The Tagansky court in Moscow has fined Google 7.6 million rubles ($76,002) on two counts related to the company’s refusal to delete information banned in Russia, a spokesperson of the court told TASS.
"By the decision of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow, Google LLC was found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (failure of the owner of a website to delete information or a web-page when the obligation to delete such information, such a web page, is included in the legislation of the Russian Federation) and impose a penalty on this entity in the form of a fine in the amount of 3.8 million rubles," the press service reported.
Earlier on Monday, the company was fined a similar amount for the same offense bringing the total amount of the fine to 7.6 million rubles.
Earlier the same court fined Google for administrative offenses on multiple occasions. The reason for drawing up the protocols was YouTube videos promoting non-traditional sexual relations and discrediting the Russian army.
