MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. UNESCO and the organization’s Director General Audrey Azoulay are turning a blind eye to the crimes committed by the Kiev regime against Russian journalists, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday.
According to the diplomat, a draft report outlining the situation for journalists in Ukraine was submitted earlier by the UNESCO director general for consideration at the 34th session of the Intergovernmental Council of the International Program for the Development of Communication (IPDC) on November 21-22 in Paris.
However, issues regarding the safety of Russian journalists will not be considered at the session, Zakharova commented on the details of the document’s content.
"UNESCO’s secretariat as well as the organization’s Director General Azoulay personally continue to ignore the crimes of the Kiev regime against Russian journalists, including targeted killings, terrorist attacks and attempts on life," she added.
