Number of people injured in Ukrainian attack on Kursk Region rises to 364

A total of 7,164 people, including 1,493 children, are staying at 96 temporary accommodation centers in the Kursk Region

KURSK, November 8. /TASS/. The number of people injured in the Ukrainian army’s attack on Russia’s borderline Kursk Region has risen by 12 to 364 in the past week, the regional government said in a statement.

"As many as 364 people, among them 11 children, have sought medical assistance since August 6. Twenty-four people are hospitalized," the statement reads.

A total of 7,164 people, including 1,493 children, are staying at 96 temporary accommodation centers in the Kursk Region. Thirty-three centers in other regions of the country are accommodating 2,913 people.

On August 6, Russia’s borderline Kursk Region came under a massive attack from Ukraine. A state of federal emergency is in effect in the region. Residents of border areas are being evacuated to safe locations. About 100 locals have been killed in Ukrainian attacks since the start of the incursion, regional Human Rights Ombudsperson Vladimir Firsov said.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Kiev has lost more than 30,500 troops and 189 tanks since fighting began in the Kursk area. Russian forces continue their operation to destroy Ukrainian troops.
