Pollster indicates 79% of Russians trust Putin
54% of those polled said they approved of how the Russian government was running the country (a 2% increase), while 58% approved of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin’s job performance (a 1% increase)
MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. The Russian public’s level of trust in President Vladimir Putin stands at 79%, while 81% of respondents approved his job performance, a survey by the Public Opinion Foundation shows.
The poll, conducted between November 1-3, covered 1,500 respondents. "When asked directly if they trusted Putin, 79% of participants answered in the affirmative. The majority also approved the president’s job performance (81%)," the statement from the social service reads.
54% of those polled said they approved of how the Russian government was running the country (a 2% increase), while 58% approved of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin’s job performance (a 1% increase).
Support for the ruling United Russia party stood at 48% (a 5% increase). Support for the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) decreased by 1% to 7%, while the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) saw a 1% increase to 11%. The A Just Russia-For Truth party maintained its 3% support, as did the New People party.
